New Release!  “The Miracle of the Kanayama Megaliths: A Jomon Megalithic Observatory Still Active After 5,000 Years

It’s well known that mysterious megalithic sites, such as Stonehenge in England, are scattered around the world.

How did these megaliths get to where they are?

Why were they placed there, and for what purpose?

These mysterious megaliths, which continue to fascinate fans of ancient history mysteries around the world, were discovered in the mountains of Hida-Kanayama in Japan, and the three authors of this book — Yoshiki Kobayashi, Shiho Tokuda, and American astrophysicist Dr. Harriet Natsuyama — set out to solve the mystery.

27 years ago, in 1997, one of the authors, Yoshiki Kobayashi, came across a mysterious figure — two lines and three ovals — carved into a 6-meter-tall megalith in the mountains of his hometown, Hida-Kanayama.

Kobayashi, who was also active as a painter at the time, intuitively sensed that the shapes were “some meaningful expression left behind by ancient people,” and began investigating the megaliths scattered throughout the area with fellow artist Shiho Tokuda. Kobayashi’s mind was filled with the image of Stonehenge, where the sun was “designed” to rise from a specific spot on the megaliths on the summer solstice.

Through years of continuous, meticulous research, the relationship between the Kanayama Megaliths and the sun gradually became clear. Eventually, this research led to a new discovery (the discovery of an ancient solar calendar) that attracted the interest of astronomers and archaeologists around the world.

This book documents the full story of the 27 years of research, including this rare discovery.

Co-author Dr. Natsuyama, an astrophysicist and Japanese-American born in Hawaii, learned about the Kanayama Megaliths around 2013 due to her interest in ancient Japanese astronomy, and visited the site of his own volition. After scientifically examining the data and hypotheses collected by Kobayashi and Tokuda, Dr. Natsuyama became convinced of their accuracy and joined the research team.

Dr. Natsuyama states the following:

“Analysis of 27 years of solar observation records and theta has shown that the Kanayama solar calendar is more accurate than the modern solar calendar (Gregorian calendar). A megalithic solar calendar that continues to keep time accurately even in modern times is a truly astonishing discovery” (from the book’s “Publication Introduction”).

Apparently, they used the megaliths as fixed points for solar observation and determined an accurate solar calendar from the changing position of sunlight… As you read on, a previously unknown “completely new image of ancient times” will unfold before your eyes. It is the polar opposite of the vague image we have of “ancient times and people before writing” as “primitive.”

This is an intellectual “adventure” that will make you want to travel to ancient times! We hope you enjoy.
